There are times when, for different reasons, a daily import from one or more core systems was not possible.
The default System Effective Date of ArcsLink (a.k.a DataLink) is the prior calendar day. To run an import with effective date two or more days prior to the current day, require coordination and a few manual steps.
Important Note: This only applies for Saturday runs or when another import from the core system was not yet performed. These instructions do not apply to missed daily import jobs when another day has been already processed.
Covered in this article:
Running the Import Job
Step 1: Go to the Jobs screen by selecting "Jobs" under the Tools menu option
Step 2: Make sure the BankPoint Service is running
Step 3: Click on the link with the job name to open the selected job screen
Step 4: On the job screen, click on Actions and select "Execute Job"
Step 5: On the Execute Job screen add -systemeffectivedate=[enter core system date here] for both ArcsLink and Transfer steps. For example, -systemeffectivedate=4/3/2020. Note: if there is no Transfer step, than only enter the date for the ArcsLink step only.
Click on "Execute" to start the job.
Step 6: If your bank has a Non Processing Day job, repeat steps 3, 4, and 5 to set the System Effective Date for the days that need to be caught up. For example, if 4/3/2020 is a Friday, then the Non-Processing Day job needs to run twice, one with -systemeffectivedate=4/4/2020 and then another run with -systemeffectivedate=4/5/2020.
